Live-Tank Circuit Breaker Support Capabilities
As of October 1, 2008, our U.S. business is called Siemens Energy, Inc.
Siemens has manufactured live-tank power circuit breakers since the late 1970s under the model names LPO, 3AT, and 3AP. LPO breakers were made in our Jackson, MS, plant as part of the German 3AT2 breaker design (245-800kV) from 1979-1984. Siemens TCP 123-245kV breakers were manufactured from 1984-1999 and used the same 3AT hydraulic operator and 3AR interrupter. The CPV2 circuit switcher uses the same 3AP1 spring mechanism and interrupter.
