The Siemens type GM-SG 5 kV - 15 kV medium-voltage switchgear is a product enhancement to the successful GM switchgear product line. The GM-SG product maintains all the benefits and features of the GM product and now utilizes the globally proven Siemens 3AH3 circuit breaker operator. Performance gains in higher interrupting ratings and faster interrupting times are now available with the 3AH3 circuit breaker operator. Maintenance intervals also improve, with maintenance 10 years or 10,000 operations (whichever occurs first) under "usual service conditions" as defined by ANSI C37.20.2 section 2. Over 60,000 3AH3 circuit breaker operators are in service throughout the world.
