SICAM Diamond is a Web-based operating and monitoring system and uses modern client-server architecture.  The clients are platform-independent – all they need is a Web browser in order to access substations.  It can be used to monitor the system interfaces, to indicate switching device states (and up-to-the date measured values), and also for further diagnostic purposes. This minimizes costs and the amount of resources required.  This means that existing intranet and internet infrastructures can be used for data exchange.  The SICAM Diamond server acts as data source and contains an administrative tool which regulates data administration and user rights.

The SICAM PAS CC (Power Automation System Control Center) HMI is completely web-enabled. Any of the displays - one-line diagrams, alarm pages, IED drill down screens, trend displays, etc. - can be published on the web and viewed using a standard browser.
